Pigeon Forge Restaurants You Must Visit

There is no shortage of good food in Pigeon Forge! You will find a little bit of everything from good ‘ole Southern comfort food to BBQ, and more pancakes than you can imagine! The goodness is all around whether you are in town for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Our family likes to plan out each of our meal stops prior to every visit to the Smokies so that we make sure to get in all of our favorites. Here are a few restaurants you must visit:

Pie in Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge, TN

There is one, and only one, Old Mill Restaurant. Located in the heart of the Old Mill Square next to the historic gristmill, this restaurant offers the most amazing Southern comfort food around. Be sure to ask to sit near the windows so that you can look out over the Little Pigeon River while you are eating. Our family loves the chicken and dumplings and the homemade meatloaf. A cup of their corn chowder, as well as corn fritters, are served with your meal and it is hard not to fill up on just them! For dessert, their homemade pecan pie is a little slice of heaven! Just across the street is the Old Mill Pottery House Cafe and Grille and this is our favorite lunchtime spot. You cannot go wrong with any of their homemade soups and quiches and the mac and cheese is a kid favorite!

Breakfast at Sewers Farmhouse in Pigeon Forge

What’s for breakfast? Pancakes! We like the farmhouse atmosphere of the locally owned Sawyer’s Farmhouse. A big hearty breakfast is a great way to start the day before heading out to enjoy the attractions. They have a big menu with lots of great options including pancakes, waffles, crepes, and omelets. Their Hershey’s chocolate chip pancakes are a hit with our family as well as the chicken and waffles. You will leave full and happy!

Also, be sure to check out these fine restaurants that are not necessarily native to Pigeon Forge but are made to feel so with their great Southern hospitality.

Located in Lumberjack Square, Calhoun’s serves up a cozy mountain lodge atmosphere and a great steak that is cooked to perfection! Be sure to try their Southern fried green tomatoes for a starter and then enjoy their hickory smoked ribs or pulled pork. This is a great place to enjoy for a nice lunch or dinner.
